I have written before about how much I like blogging at WordPress.  It’s so much easier to add my own photos and put them exactly where I want them in the post, and the support forum is a great place to find answers.  I love the themes – in fact there are too many good ones.  I have to learn to be happy with my theme and leave it alone.

But today I found Zemanta and I think it is going to be a very useful tool.  When I begin a post I usually look for a photo first that can be added.  I just think that writing without pictures is totally boring so I look for a good picture to use and get it, or them, uploaded first thing.

Zemanta helps with that by recommending photos for me to use along with my posts and this will be very helpful for my seashell blog when I want to write about a shell I don’t have pictures of.  The picture I added here was one I could choose from, so thank you to Vicki at Flickr.

As I type a gallery of photos comes up at the side of the page and I can choose to use any one of them to go along with this post.  Not only that, there is a list of related articles underneath that I could choose to list at the end of this paragraph.  I just chose one and you can see it below.  I just click and the link appears!  There are also links at the bottom of this post that become links up in my post if I click them – which I did for “Zemanta” and “WordPress” above.

It is so easy and as I’ve said I’ll use it mostly for the Seashell Identification blog, but just wanted to bring attention to it if you use WP, because you might want to check it out.  I’m always learning something new here.
